Biography
Sophie was previously known as (Carol) VACCA!...She grew up in Parma Heights, OH...And holds a B.S. in Journalism/PR from Bowling Green State University...The world has been her classroom in creating, learning & teaching... Through these travels and experiences in the USA, France, Scotland, England, Italy, Greece, Austria & The Caribbean, her work is featured in private homes, spiritual organizations, farms, hospitals, nursing/retirement homes & educational institutions from preschool through university level...
The first art piece Sophie remembers selling was a black & white photo of a leaf dancing in a rain puddle that she took for a photography class & sold to her Delta Gamma sorority sister, Kay, for $25 in 1972...
In 2002, in Ohio City, Sophie founded "Gustoza House, A Healing Center Through The Arts"... She is self-taught with great influences from her Mom, homemaker & practical artist, Mary Sophie Patricelli, & her Dad,
